It’s almost autumn here in Holmes County, Ohio’s Amish Country. With its warm days and cool nights, I must confess this is my favorite time of the year. Crisp evenings in my favorite hoodie, sipping hot apple cider, huddled around a bonfire making s’mores, hayrides, ahh… this is the stuff of life.

So what are the top things to do in Amish Country? Soon the foliage will be changing from gorgeous greens to rich reds, show-stopping oranges and vibrant yellows. Holmes County, Ohio was named #3 of the top 10 places to see autumn leaves, in the National Geographic book “Four Seasons of Travel.” The only other place mentioned in the U.S. was in Sonoma County, California. We feel blessed to be able to live in this picturesque region. How fortunate are most of you to be able come to visit us in less than a tank of gas.
